Chocolate Filled Doughnut Balls

Chocolate Filled Doughnut Balls

Yields
  • 10 doughnuts
  • Total time: 35-45 minutes
Ingredients
  • 1/3 Cup Warm Almond Milk
  • 1 Tsp. Active dry yeast
  • 1 Tsp. Fresh Apple juice
  • 1 Tsp. Stevia
  • 1 2/3 cup flour, plus extra for dusting
  • 2 Tbsp. Butter
  • 1 Egg, beaten
  • 2 SkinnyMe chocolate squares, cut into 10 pieces
Directions

These can be fried in a small deep fryer, but to make them a little healthier we are going to bake them.

In a small bowl stir the milk, yeast, apple juice and stevia.

Place the flour in a large bowl, add the yeast mixture, butter and egg and stir.

Knead the dough on a lightly floured surface until it comes together and is smooth. You can keep adding flour, little by little, to ensure the dough is not sticky.

Divide dough into 10 equal pieces. Place one SkinnyMe chocolate piece in the middle of dough and form a ball around chocolate. Make sure to cover chocolate entirely.

Space them out evenly on a cookie sheet. Cover with a damp dishcloth and leave in a warm place to rise for about an hour. Buns should double in size.

Preheat oven to 400 degrees.

Bushing the tops of the dough with a little sunflower oil.

Bake for 12-15 minutes or until golden brown. Sprinkle warm buns with a little cinnamon and serve right away.

Enjoy!!!
